About the Pit Master
Petes passion began with his home built smoker in the spring of 2012 and grew into a business in 2014. Smoking up authentic American style barbecue! Working as a tradesmen much of his life has taught Peter the importance of innovation, creativity and quality. You can taste it in his ‘sell out brisket Sammy’ and 'award winning' pulled pork loaded tater tots! Smokin Pete combines multiple flavors and cooking techniques to create delicious eats not restricted to a specific regional cooking style. Pete's now wife, Maeve has been working full time with him since August 2015, helping in all aspects as they grow and expand their business together!
Smokin Pete and his crew have experience vending multiple day festivals, county/state fairs, special event catering and BBQ competitions across NY, the northeast and even FL in the winters!
The authentic, one of a kind food truck has been in operation since the summer of 2015. The 1,000 gallon home built smoker has been in operation since the spring of 2018. In March of 2020 Smokin Petes bought a stand alone location on Route 14 along Seneca Lake (pictured below) Smokin Pete and his wife Maeve remodeled the building and property for two and a half years and opened their doors to the public for the first time in June 2022
